I have been here…

We have lost ourselves
Distressed, perplexed, and without identity…

Contemporary human existence has become entangled within a reality to which it no longer belongs; a reality in which one gradually dissolves until the possibility of escape itself becomes uncertain. A reality which may itself be no more than a dream.

I Have Been Here is a black-and-white project consisting of eleven works developed through different performed characters moving through urban spaces, ruins, non-places, and suspended environments. Wearing a gas mask and the same overcoat throughout the series, the figures move between presence and disappearance, dream and lived reality.
